L’adolescenza è una fase cruciale dello sviluppo caratterizzata sia da transizioni radicali che da sfide nel funzionamento sociale, tra cui il proseguimento degli studi, l’avvio di una carriera e la creazione di relazioni al di fuori del contesto familiare. Tuttavia, i dati sulla salute mentale degli adolescenti sono ancora scarsi.
Responding to the need for data
To address the gap, a consortium of 19 partners from 12 countries collected comparable data on youth mental health.
Come abbiamo proceduto
Abbiamo condotto uno studio online in Albania, Belgio, Germania, Italia, Moldavia, Polonia, Portogallo, Romania, Serbia, Spagna, Svizzera e Israele. I giovani sono stati reclutati attraverso vari canali, tra cui istituti scolastici, organizzazioni giovanili e piattaforme di social media, quali Instagram e Facebook, nonché tramite reclutamento tra pari. Il questionario era disponibile nella o nelle lingue locali di ciascun paese partecipante. In conformità con le linee guida etiche, prima dell’avvio della raccolta dei dati sono stati ottenuti il consenso informato dei genitori e l’assenso dei partecipanti.
Cosa abbiamo
riscontrato: allo studio EARLY 2025 hanno partecipato complessivamente 5.817 giovani di età compresa tra i 15 e i 24 anni.

A milestone has been achieved. Further analysis is now underway to help us understand how to support youth in communities with high burdens of MHCs and ensure that no young person suffers without support.
